About me
Paul York has over 25 years of global experience within the financial markets industry. He was the Managing Director responsible for the overall trading business, strategy and portfolio optimization on behalf of the world’s largest custodian bank, managing approximately $4 trillion of lendable assets. Serving as the Asia Pacific Head of Trading within the Securities Finance division, he oversaw equity and fixed-income trading groups in Tokyo, Sydney and Hong Kong, working primarily with ‘sell-side’ clients, such as hedge funds and prime brokers.
In 2021, Paul retired from banking. He now resides with his family in Bermuda, where, after decades of lived experience with addiction, he opted to embark upon an academic journey of discovery by completing his MSc in the International Programme on Addiction Studies from King’s College London, the University of Adelaide, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He also holds a B.A. (Hons) in Business, Finance and Law from Bournemouth University.
