About me
Dr. Mia Liadis serves as the Assistant Director of Health Promotion at VCU's Recreation and Well-being "RecWell" and as an adjunct instructor in the School of Education, where she works with future health professionals and counselors-in-training. She received her PhD from VCU's Counselor Education and Supervision program, and her research focuses on community-centered care on campuses, bystander behaviors, and well-being for diverse university populations. Dr. Liadis has spent nearly ten years working with VCU students, faculty, and staff, to influence policies and practices that support thriving campus communities. She serves as an editorial staff member on an academic journal with the American Counseling Association and is also a grief group facilitator in the greater Richmond community.
