About me
I graduated from East Tennessee State University with B.S in microbiology, B.S in biochemistry, and B.S in biology. While I was there, I gained research experience studying nicotine addiction in a schizophrenic quinpirole rat model. I then went to the National Institute on Drug Abuse where I was a postbaccalaureate fellow assisting and leading clinical trials focusing on developing possible treatments for Alcohol Use Disorder. I am now a PhD student studying the development of opioid tolerance during colorectal cancer chemotherapy treatment.
