About me
Kenneth "Hopefied" Harris CSAC-A, CPRS, COAPS, is a key member of the recovery community with over 25 years of lived experience. His journey began with addiction to heroin, cocaine, and other substances, and experiences with multiple incarcerations and treatments. Kenneth became a member of Narcotics Anonymous in 1985 and, after facing several relapses, returned to recovery in 2022, maintaining sobriety since May 5, 2022.
Kenneth became a Certified Recovery Coach in 2010 while he working at SAARA Center of VA. He was employed at Rubicon as a Mental Health and Med Tech in the H.O.P.E. Program from 2010 to 2014 and has since worked at RBHA, where he is currently a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. His expertise includes Substance Use Disorder (SUD), HIV education, testing, and Alternative Sentencing, and he is also certified in MAT and MSR.
In addition to his professional work, Kenneth has earned his Substance Abuse Counseling Certification from J. Sargeant Reynolds in 2010, and his CSAC-A Certification in 2011. He is an active member of the Dana Sally Allen Foundation’s Board of Directors.
