About me
Ervin Hart engages in community outreach in the East End of Richmond, works one-on-one with those coming through that Center, and leads groups and classes. He is a State Certified Peer Recovery Coach, as well as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). He has over 30 years of experience in the field of addiction, which also includes over 30 years of sobriety himself. With his own experience with addiction and long-term incarceration, he knows what it’s like to need support through recovery. Years ago, he and Dr. Scarbrough both worked in programs in the Richmond Jail, and when REAL LIFE opened, he joined the staff. The work is not always easy, but when one Lifer succeeds, it is worth the hard work.
