About me
Emely Baez Salazar is a Certified Community Health Worker (CCHW) and a Social Work Intern Task Supervisor at Health Brigade. As an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, I have always been deeply committed to advocating for the Latino community in Richmond. My passion for helping others led me to become a CHW, a CHW Trainer, and to pursue higher education in this field. I strongly believe in the power of community-driven change and am dedicated to working towards bridging the gaps in healthcare and social services. Currently, I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in social work at VCU, where I continue to expand my knowledge and skills to better serve and uplift the communities I am passionate about.
