About me
As a third-year PhD candidate in Pharmacology at VCU, I conduct research in Dr. Matthew Banks' lab, a recognized behavioral pharmacologist in the neurobehavioral mechanisms of drug choice over other competing non-drug reinforcers. My thesis project aims to determine the environmental and pharmacological mechanisms of methamphetamine reinforcement using a methamphetamine choice procedure in preclinical models. I have currently collected data in support of the economic substitutability between competing non-drug magnitudes and drug cost that influence drug consumption patterns. These studies provided an empirical foundation to preclinically test candidate pharmacotherapies for methamphetamine use disorder.
