About me
Tijana “Jo” Simovic is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in the Vascular and Integrative Physiology (VIP) Lab.
Born and raised in Serbia, she moved to the USA in 2016 and has since completed her undergraduate degree at Southeastern Louisiana University (2020) and her master's degree in exercise physiology at Valdosta State University (2021). Her current research focuses on investigating the effects of long-term e-cigarette use on cardiopulmonary health. Jo’s ultimate career goal is to contribute (in any way) to a major scientific breakthrough. She was a collegiate athlete and played volleyball for a total of 10 years.
